🔎 How we review products
Reviews on this site are prepared by the Kitay UA editorial team. We are not a shop or a seller: we look into Temu products to make it easier for you to decide whether to buy them. Here's honestly how we do it.
Which products make it to the site
- Customer rating 4.5★ and up and at least 50 reviews — otherwise we don't publish the product at all.
- For reviews we pick products that already have plenty of feedback: from dozens to thousands of reviews. The more reviews, the more reliable the conclusion.
- Priority goes to things our readers care about: the ones clicked most often on the site and on Telegram.
What we read before a review
- The seller's description and specs: sizes, materials, what's in the box, colour options.
- The size chart for clothes and shoes — compared with what customers say about the fit.
- Customer reviews — both positive and negative. We note the most frequent complaints: if several people mention the same problem, it goes into “Cons” even when the overall rating is high.
- Customer photos and videos — they show the real colour, size and quality better than ads.
How a review is structured
- What the product is and who it's for — in plain words.
- What customers praise and complain about, with short quotes from reviews.
- Pros and cons, and a verdict at the end: who it suits and who should look for something else.
- A size chart when available, and photos labelled with whose they are: the seller's or a customer's.
- An editors' rating from 1 to 5 — at the top of the review and next to the verdict.
Editors' rating
This is our rating, not the Temu average. Temu ratings are almost always 4.5–4.9★, so on their own they say little. We give a rating after reading the reviews, especially the 1–3 star ones, and checking customer photos and reviews from Ukraine. What matters: whether complaints repeat, whether the product matches its photos and description, and whether it's worth its price.
- 5 — hardly any complaints: no recurring problems, the product looks like the photos.
- 4.5 — very good: the cons are minor and don't get in the way.
- 4 — good, but there's a catch worth knowing before you buy: runs small, thin fabric, smaller than it looks.
- 3.5 — a noticeable share of defects or a serious limitation: buy only if it won't bother you.
- 3 and below — we don't recommend such products and usually don't review them.
Honest about the limits
Most reviews are based on the seller's description and customer reviews on Temu — we say so at the top of every review. We don't invent “personal tests”: if we haven't had the product in our hands, we say so. When we buy a product ourselves, we add a separate “Our experience” block with our own photos.
Customer privacy
Quotes are short and without names. We pick customer photos by hand: no faces and no personal data. The Ukrainian translation of reviews comes from Temu itself.
Money and independence
- Sellers don't pay us for reviews and don't see them before publication.
- We earn as Temu affiliates: a small commission on purchases via our links. Your price doesn't change and the verdict isn't affected — every review lists cons.
Prices
Prices are converted to UAH at the National Bank rate at publication. They change often on Temu, so always check the current price via the “Buy on Temu” button.
